Africans are encouraged to apply for the Fully Funded PAPSSN 3rd Mobility Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme. This opportunity, hosted by the Pan-African Planetary and Space Science Network (PAPSSN), offers scholarships in various fields such as Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space and Planetary Science, Planetary Geology, and Remote Sensing. The primary goal of PAPSSN is to support the education of emerging scientists, equipping them with the skills necessary for the ongoing and future large-scale Planetary and Space Science endeavors, spanning the next two decades.

PAPSSN scholarships are jointly administered by five (5) African partner institutions, where selected students and staff can engage in postgraduate studies, research, teaching or training. The African partners include:

• Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) – Botswana;
• Addis Ababa University (AAU) – Ethiopia;
• Copperbelt University (CBU) – Zambia;
• The University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) – Nigeria; and
• University of Witwatersrand (Wits) – South Africa;

• Participation costs including tuition fees, registration and service fees are provided.
• Insurance coverage for health, accident, and travel expenses.
• Settling-in allowance to facilitate the transition.
• Monthly stipends to support living expenses.
• Contribution towards research costs for mobility lasting ten (10) months or more.
• Commitment to allocate 50% of scholarships to women and candidates from disadvantaged or marginalized backgrounds within the PAPSSN consortium.
